Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Montessori Secondary Program Lead to help launch and guide a new Montessori high school serving students in grades 7–10. This hybrid leadership role blends instruction, program administration, and community partnership development.
The ideal candidate is both an experienced Montessori educator and an emerging leader who is passionate about adolescent development, academic rigor, and real-world learning experiences. This individual will play a central role in shaping a program that is authentic to Montessori principles while meeting high academic and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:Instruction & Student Engagement
Support and deliver instruction for students in grades 7–10 using Montessori adolescent methodologies
Foster a rigorous, student-centered learning environment aligned with Montessori philosophy
Collaborate with teaching staff to design interdisciplinary, experiential learning opportunities
Guide students in goal setting, self-direction, and reflective learning practices
Program Leadership & Administration
Assist in the development and implementation of the secondary Montessori program
Ensure alignment with Montessori standards and organizational expectations
Support compliance, documentation, and program evaluation processes
Contribute to scheduling, curriculum coordination, and academic planning
Help establish systems that promote high academic rigor and student accountability
Community Engagement & Career Development
Build partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders
Coordinate internships, apprenticeships, and career exploration opportunities for students
Develop programs that connect classroom learning to real-world applications
Organize community events, exhibitions, and student showcases
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education or related field preferred
Experience working with adolescents (middle or high school level)
Demonstrated leadership or program development experience is highly valued
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Passion for Montessori philosophy and adolescent-centered learning
Montessori Secondary I/II credential (preferred) or willingness to obtain
